A new fee schedule became effective on June 26, 2003 for Conservation filings in Franklin. Changes to the fee schedule were needed to cover actual costs to process applications and perform site inspections related to Conservation filings. The new fee schedule provides special consideration for minor projects at single-family homes. Also, installation of an
aboveground swimming pool now qualifies as a Minor Buffer Zone Activity (you still must apply, but the project is exempt from filing fees and legal advertising). A calculation sheet is available to determine applicable fees for your project.
Effective January 1, 2009, the legal advertising fee for Conservation filings has been revised to $100 to reflect costs and cover administrative services related to legal advertisement.
