This project involves widening King Street under the 495 overpass, realigning the King/Upper Union/Constitution Boulevard intersection, and signals at the ramps.

This is a state project and the work will begin the week of Sept. 14, 2009 and the State hopes to have this completed by Sept. of 2010. Mass Highway awarded the contract to J. Tropeano, Inc. of N. Andover, MA. The Franklin DPW and Franklin Police Department will be working closely with contractor, J. Tropeano, Inc. and the Mass Highway Dept.

During construction the public may experience some traffic delays and the public is advised to seek alternate routes of travel if possible.
