Beaver Pond
Directions: From Route 140 and Beaver Street, follow Beaver Street .4 mile to the parking lot on the right.
Basic Information The pond offers good fishing for large mouth bass and the boat launch is just west of the parking lot. Beaver Pond is also known for its soccer fields, woodland trails, and swimming.
Uncas Pond
Directions: From the intersection of Summer and King Streets, follow Summer Street 1.2 miles to Florence Street on the left. Take Florence Street to its end and there is a large parking area on the left with a dirt road to the launch site. The unpaved parking area is on the left before the end of the street. The access road is in the far Northwest corner of the parking area. It is not well marked. (Note: The access road is steep and rough.)
Fishing Information: The Massachusetts Fisheries and Wildlife Department stocks trout in Uncas Pond. The amount and species of trout stocked varies from year to year. Stocking usually begins in mid-March.
