The Franklin Council on Aging is a municipally appointed volunteer board authorized under Massachusetts General Law. Its purpose is:
· to identify the needs of the elderly population.
· to educate the community and enlist support and participation of all citizens regarding those needs.
· to design, promote and implement services to fill those needs and coordinate existing programs.
Council on Aging meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 11:00 at the Franklin Senior Center and the public is invited to attend.
Current Council on Aging members are: Nan Rafter, Chairperson, Bob Gagnon, Vice-Chairperson, Barbara Deely, Secretary, Paul Degnim, Mary Ellsworth, Frank Harrigan, Stella Jeon, and Betty Synder.
