WELCOME,
TRIAD is a partnership between senior citizens, law enforcement agencies and senior support services. It’s goal is to reduce the criminal victimization of older citizens and to enhance their awareness of support services.
TRIAD also works to increase senior participation in crime prevention and detection programs. TRIAD serves the specific needs of Franklin and is an integral part of community policing. Through TRIAD the quality of life for all citizens, especially seniors is improved.
What TRIAD offers...
PROJECT LIFESAVER: Provides a bracelet that can track individuals suffering from dementia who may wander. The wristband, combined with a search and rescue team have been sucessful in locating wandering clients within 20 minutes. Clients must be screened into this program. FREE SMOKE DETECTOR PROGRAM: Provides free smoke detectors to Franklin seniors installed by Franklin firefighters.
FILE OF LIFE: A file for updating life-saving information to be used by health workers in case of an emergency. Files are available for free at the Senior Center.
“ARE YOU OKAY?” COMPUTERIZED TELEPHONE REASSURANCE PROGRAM: provides Provides a free, daily phone call to verify the safety of elders. The program has saved hundreds of lives nationwide.
DISABILITY INDICATOR FORMS: to advise emergency personnel of any disability or special medical equipment (i.e. oxygen) you may have. Forms can be downloaded from this site and are also available at the Senior Center.
