Franklin Men’s Club is visiting The Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester on Tuesday, November 17.  They’ll leave at 10:00 a.m. and go for lunch after visiting the museum.  New members are welcome. Please call to sign up.

Alden Club meets on Wednesday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. for its annual auction; the public is welcome to attend.

Caregivers Support Group meets on Wednesday, November 18 at 4:00 p.m. with facilitator Pat Coakley. Respite can be provided if a reservation is made by calling 508 520-4945. All caregivers are welcome.

Michele Goldberg has office hours for Senator Karen Spilka on Thursday, November 19 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Nostalgic Children’s Literature session on Thursday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m. Franklin High student, Eamon McCarthy Earls has read, researched and collected children's genre novels from the first half of the 20th century such as Tom Swift, the Radio Boys, etc.  He will offer a brief presentation which includes pictures of some of the famous book covers, a discussion of the many different series, and a brief overview of the "rise and fall" of this kind of children's literature.  All are welcome to come; please call to sign up.

Nifty Fifties Party is scheduled for Friday, November 20 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate our 2nd anniversary in the new senior center.  Try your hand at some fun contests, such as hula hoop, yo-yo, and 50’s trivia. Tickets ($6) must be purchased by November 13.

Age Link features fun and games with 2nd grade students from the Oak Street School on Monday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. We’ll tell the kids what it was like back in the day before computers, cell phones, and video games!  Call to sign up.

A Self Hypnosis Class will be offered on Friday, November 20 at 1:00 p.m.  Learn about this effective way of changing behaviors to lose weight, stop smoking, reduce anxiety, or manage other issues. Please call to sign up.

Newcomers Coffee Hour on Monday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. Call to sign up for an orientation and tour of the Senior Center.

Monday Movies are shown at the Center on Monday afternoons at 1:15 p.m. courtesy of Hollywood Video.  The schedule for this month is: My Life in Ruins, November 2; The Maiden Heist, November 9; The Ugly Truth, November 16; Up, November 23, and Angels & Demons on November 30.

Free Holiday Gift Wrapping will be offered by the students at Tri-County Vocational School on Dec. 1 & 15, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Please call to sign up.

Senior Center Holiday Party is planned for Friday, December 4 at 10:30 a.m. This fun event features a delicious Ham Dinner, a visit from Santa, and the incomparable Jack Craig.  Be sure to get your tickets this month, by November 24.

     Payment is due upon sign up at the Senior Center.  Seventy-two hours notice (3 business days) is required to receive a full refund for day trips.  Conditions vary for overnight trips.
